Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 35th Anniversary Re-Release: A Box Office Success Story
Fathom Entertainment recently celebrated the 35th anniversary of the 1990 film "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" with a re-release that garnered $3.3 million across 1,300 screens. Due to popular demand, the re-release has been extended for a second week until August 28th. This success has made it the highest-grossing classic/repertory film for Fathom in 2025. Plans are already underway for a 35th-anniversary re-release of the sequel, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze," in March 2026. The second film in the series introduced new villains and toned down the use of weapons in response to censorship concerns.
