Missed Connections: Mick Jagger's Regret of Never Meeting Elvis Presley

The relationship between The Beatles and Elvis Presley was complex. While The Beatles admired Presley's groundbreaking music, their admiration soured as Presley's behavior became erratic. The final straw may have been Presley's suggestion to the President about spying on The Beatles, leading to a rift between them.
John Lennon, who did meet Presley, found the experience underwhelming. He felt that Presley was too "normal" and didn't share The Beatles' enthusiasm for personal appearances and TV. Lennon's lukewarm encounter with Presley led him to advise Mick Jagger not to bother meeting him.
Despite being a huge fan of Presley like The Beatles, Jagger heeded Lennon's advice and never met his idol. Reflecting on the missed opportunity, Jagger expressed regret, wishing he had met Presley before his untimely death. Unfortunately, Presley passed away before Jagger could fulfill his wish to meet The King.
