Skating Club of Boston 5k Event Honoring Plane Crash Victims: Lace Up for a Cause
The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood is hosting a 5k event to honor the victims of a recent plane collision in Washington, DC. The event will pay tribute to the six club members who lost their lives in the crash. Participants have the option to skate on the ice or walk off the ice during the event. Funds raised will support the Always Champions Foundation, which aims to establish two scholarships, including one in memory of Spencer Lane from Barrington, Rhode Island, who tragically passed away in the accident. The event will take place from 6 to 9 tonight at the Skating Club of Boston in Norwood.
