Crawling to Victory: The Elizabethtown Fair's Third Annual Baby Race
The Elizabethtown Fair hosted its third annual "Baby Race" where infants aged 6 to 12 months participated in a crawling race to the finish line. The event, organized by the Kiwanis Club of Elizabethtown, aimed to engage the youngest members of the community in a fun and interactive activity. According to Cortney Cameron from the Kiwanis Club of Elizabethtown, the Baby Race allowed infants to be part of the fair's activities, paving the way for their future involvement in other events like tractor pull races and animal demonstrations organized by 4H. The first baby to reach the finish line was awarded a $200 prize sponsored by State Farm.
In addition to the race, parents were encouraged to dress their babies according to the fair's "Barnyard Animals" theme for a chance to win the title of "Best Dressed" and receive a $50 gift card. The event brought families together in a lighthearted competition that celebrated the youngest members of the community and their adorable crawling skills.
