Daniel Dae Kim Teases Exciting Twists for Potential Butterfly Season 2

The first season of Butterfly on Prime Video concluded with a dramatic character death and a kidnapping, leaving fans wondering about the potential direction of a second season. In an interview, Daniel Dae Kim, who portrays David in the series, hinted at possible twists and turns for the show's future if it gets renewed.

Butterfly, based on a graphic novel series by Boom! Studios, follows the story of a former U.S. intelligence operative, David, who must come out of hiding in South Korea to protect his daughter, Rebecca, who has become a spy-turned-assassin like him. Throughout the first season, David and Rebecca worked together to defeat a common enemy and dealt with personal revelations about their family.

The season finale took a dark turn when David discovered his wife injured and his daughter missing, leaving viewers with a cliffhanger about Rebecca's fate. Kim expressed his excitement about leading a show that involves intense stunts, despite the physical challenges it presented.

While Kim enjoyed performing most of his stunts, there was one particularly risky stunt involving rappelling from a building that he was not allowed to attempt. Playing a spy on the show also taught Kim valuable skills in surveillance and maintaining a discreet presence.

Butterfly is currently available for streaming on Prime Video, offering viewers a thrilling and action-packed storyline that keeps them on the edge of their seats. If the show is renewed for a second season, fans can expect more twists and surprises in the lives of David and Rebecca.
