Constable Mark Herman's Office Cracks Down on Street Racing in Harris County, Texas

Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office recently spotted two vehicles engaged in suspected street racing in Harris County, Texas. The vehicles, a Subaru WRX and a Mustang, were seen speeding and driving recklessly, posing a danger to other motorists. A traffic stop was initiated on one of the vehicles, driven by Gustavo Adolfo Mendoza-Mendez, who was confirmed to be actively participating in the illegal street race. Further investigation revealed that Mendoza-Mendez had 20 open misdemeanor traffic warrants in Harris County Precinct 5. As a result, he was arrested and taken to the Harris County Jail for Racing on the Highway and his outstanding warrants. His bond was set at $100.00 by County Court 10. Constable Mark Herman emphasized the dangers of street racing and reiterated the commitment of his deputies to enforcing the law to ensure road safety.
