Behind the Scenes: Sophie Turner and Kit Harrington's Awkward Kissing Scenes in The Dreadful

Sophie Turner, known for her role as Sansa Stark in Game Of Thrones, shared a humorous anecdote about kissing her former co-star Kit Harrington in the upcoming horror film The Dreadful. Turner, who is producing and starring in the movie, recommended Harrington for the male lead role to the writer-director Natasha Kermani. Despite their close bond from Game Of Thrones, both actors found the intimate scenes in the script awkward but decided to go through with it because they believed in the quality of the story.
The Dreadful is set in the 15th century and follows the characters Anne and Morwen, played by Turner and Marcia Gay Harden, whose lives are disrupted by the return of a man from their past. The film also features Laurence O’Fuarain and Jonathan Howard in supporting roles. Turner humorously described the experience of filming the kissing scenes with Harrington as "vile" and "the worst," highlighting the challenges of portraying intimate moments with someone you consider a sibling.
Turner has also joked about the intimate scenes in Game Of Thrones in the past, describing them as "crazy ****" and mentioning that she received more than enough sex education while working on the show. Apart from her role in Game Of Thrones, Turner has appeared in X-Men films and the ITV drama Joan. She is reportedly in talks to star in the upcoming Tomb Raider TV show developed by Amazon. The release date for The Dreadful has not been announced yet, but fans can anticipate a unique medieval horror experience with Turner and Harrington at the helm.
