Bono and the band U2 had a close relationship with the former owner of Slane Castle, Lord Henry Mountcharles, who recently passed away. The band recorded their album The Unforgettable Fire at Slane Castle, and their bass guitarist, Adam Clayton, was best friends with Lord Henry. Clayton even read a lesson at Lord Henry's funeral in Slane village a few weeks ago.

During a match at Integral GAA Grounds in Drogheda, St Fechins had a strong lead of 2-12 to 1-9 against their opponents at halftime. The team seemed poised to secure the Paddy Kelly Cup and achieve an impressive fifth consecutive Louth senior hurling championship title.
