Josh Brolin Talks Green Lanterns, Marvel, and Future Projects in Recent Interview

Josh Brolin recently discussed his decision to turn down the role of Hal Jordan in DC's Green Lantern series, Lanterns. In a recent interview, he compared the difficulty of passing on that role to another project he declined, Avatar. Brolin revealed that he was also considered for a role in Avatar, which eventually went to Stephen Lang.
In the interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Brolin shared his excitement for Lanterns and mentioned that he is looking forward to seeing the series. He praised Kyle Chandler, who was eventually cast as Hal Jordan, and expressed his admiration for the actor. While Brolin mentioned Paula Patton's involvement in the project, no official casting announcement has confirmed her role in Lanterns.
Brolin also discussed his past and potential future with Marvel, expressing his willingness to return as Thanos if given the opportunity. He reflected on the secrecy surrounding Marvel productions and how the Thanos role evolved beyond his initial expectations. However, he indicated that his experience playing Cable in Deadpool 2 was not as fulfilling, hinting that he may not return for the reported X-Force movie.
Despite his involvement in Lanterns, Brolin seems more focused on collaborating with the Russo Brothers on future MCU projects like Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars. His interest in continuing his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe suggests that he may prioritize those projects over potential DC Universe roles.
