Homecoming Heroes: Lynyrd Skynyrd Rocks the Red, White & Blue in Jacksonville

Lynyrd Skynyrd, the iconic rock band from Jacksonville, is set to perform a hometown show at Daily's Place on Saturday, November 8. The concert, titled Lynyrd Skynyrd Rocks the Red, White & Blue, will benefit St. Michael's Soldiers, a charity that supports U.S. military members and their families. Tickets for the show will go on sale to the public on August 13, with early access for Jaguars season ticket holders and Daily's Place club members. The band, led by Johnny Van Zant, has not performed in Jacksonville since their 2018 show at TIAA Bank Stadium, where they headlined an all-day event featuring other artists like The Marshall Tucker Band, Blackberry Smoke, and Kid Rock. Despite previously announcing a farewell tour, Lynyrd Skynyrd has continued to perform worldwide and has decided to return to Jacksonville for this special event. In a recent interview, Van Zant expressed his belief that the band had ended their Jacksonville performances on a high note and did not anticipate playing in the city again.
