Exciting Drag Races Coming to Gillette: Get Ready for the Action!
This weekend, Gillette will host the first of two drag races organized by 307 Outlaw Streets. The races were approved by Campbell County after discussions with drag race enthusiasts. Some residents expressed concerns about the impact on the road and potential for increased reckless behavior. The first race will take place from Aug. 8-10, with the road remaining open beyond the Palomino Road intersection. The second race is scheduled for Sept. 12-14 on the same stretch of road. According to Randy Blakeman, Managing Member of 307 Outlaw Streets, the races require three days for set up and tear down. The organizers aim to reopen the road promptly after the races conclude, prioritizing safety.
