Close Enemies: New Single 'More Than I Could Ever Need' Celebrates Love and Commitment

The band CLOSE ENEMIES, featuring Tom Hamilton, Tony Brock, Peter Stroud, Trace Foster, and Chasen Hampton, has released a new single titled "More Than I Could Ever Need" through TLG|ROCK, distributed by Virgin Music Group. The song, written by Hamilton as a tribute to his wife, is a heartfelt rock ballad celebrating enduring love and commitment. This follows the release of their previous singles "Rain," "Sweet Baby Jesus," "Inside Out," and "Sound Of A Train" earlier this year.
Foster and Stroud shared the story of how the band came together over two years ago, with a series of connections and collaborations leading to the formation of CLOSE ENEMIES. The band's debut live performance took place on October 11, 2024, at Eastside Bowl in Nashville, Tennessee. Hamilton expressed his excitement and nerves about the debut gig, highlighting the energy and enthusiasm it brought to the band.
In an interview with AARP, Hamilton praised Hampton's vocal talents and the band's collaborative songwriting process. He expressed his gratitude for being part of a group of talented musicians and looked forward to sharing more music with their audience. The announcement of AEROSMITH's retirement from touring in August 2024 came nearly a year after Steven Tyler's injury, leading to the cancellation of their "Peace Out" tour.
The rescheduled tour was set to begin in September 2024, with special guests THE BLACK CROWES joining the lineup. Despite the challenges faced by AEROSMITH, Hamilton and his bandmates in CLOSE ENEMIES continue to create and perform music, showcasing their passion and dedication to their craft.
