Chuck Panozzo's Styx-Inspired Oasis: A Tranquil Retreat in Wilton Manors, Florida

Chuck Panozzo, co-founder and bassist of the band Styx, is selling his unique oasis in Wilton Manors, Florida for $1.75 million. The property, purchased in 2007, offers a blend of Southeast Asian and South Florida vibes and is located in a vibrant LGBT+ community. The two-bedroom, three-bath home, built in 1952, sits on a quarter-acre lot with a landscaped garden and a pool. Panozzo describes the house as a magical space where he feels safe and at home, with various areas to relax, reflect, or unwind after touring.

The design of the home emphasizes an indoor/outdoor flow with wood finishes and a tranquil atmosphere. The backyard features fountains, coral-lined walkways, teak sculptures, bonsai and Ashoka trees, and animal-shaped hedges. Most of the sculptures and art pieces are included in the sale. Panozzo, who has lived in the house for over 15 years, is ready to move back to high-rise living for a new challenge and a downtown balcony with a view.

Despite his move, Panozzo plans to stay in Fort Lauderdale, citing the city's mix of natural beauty and cultural energy. He appreciates the great food, arts scene, and forward-thinking vibe of the city, which he finds reminiscent of the boundary-pushing rock era he experienced. Panozzo will be relocating to a new luxury building in the downtown area, continuing his connection to the vibrant city.
