Christina Applegate, known for her role in Married... With Children, recently shared her hospitalization experience due to a kidney infection that spread to both kidneys. She described the intense pain she was in, comparing it to feeling like her appendix was bursting. Applegate decided to seek medical help immediately upon returning from Europe, where she had been visiting family, to avoid a potential emergency situation in the middle of the night.
During an episode of the podcast MeSsy, which she co-hosts with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Applegate discussed her frustration with the treatment she received while dealing with multiple sclerosis. The following day, she woke up with severe pain on her right side, leading to an emergency CT scan that revealed the kidney infection had spread to her left kidney as well.
Applegate shared her hospital experience, where she needed intravenous antibiotics to treat the kidney infection. Despite doctors initially suspecting a urinary tract infection, she humorously questioned their inquiries about her wiping technique, emphasizing her hygiene practices.
