FSU Seminoles NFL Update: Lawrance Toafili Joins New York Jets Roster
The 2025 NFL preseason is in full swing, with teams hitting the field to give football fans a taste of the upcoming season. Florida State University has a strong presence in the NFL, with 35 players currently on rosters. The latest addition is Lawrance Toafili, who signed with the New York Jets on July 29. Toafili had an impressive career at FSU, totaling 1,895 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns in 55 games. He was named the ACC Championship game MVP in 2023 after a standout performance against Louisville.
After going undrafted, Toafili earned a spot on the Jets' roster after a successful tryout at their minicamp. He will join fellow Seminole alum Azareye’h Thomas and three other former FSU players on the team. Several other FSU alumni have also made moves in the off-season, with players landing on teams across the AFC North, East, West, and South, as well as the NFC East, West, and South.
